 CCBA Ambassador Programme

To help improve the city’s safety image the CCBA has established the City Ambassadors programme and has made significant progress in creating a safe, inviting environment. Our ambassadors are there to guide visitors and make them feel safe while enjoying what we have to offer.

We use licensed security guards who wear our bright red and black branded clothing and work seven days a week from 10am to 8pm.

We believe the way to revitalise our city is through creating safe environments for everyone to enjoy.

 Ambassador's Role

and Chris McDowell of Allied Security

The ambassadors’ role can be split into two main areas: information (60%) and security or low-level criminal activity (40%). We have recorded their work since they started in November last year - see below the breakdown of what they deal with daily.

Our ambassadors support the Police in their day-to-day fight against low-level crime and give endless support to the Central City business community in helping them feel safe in their place of work.

The ambassadors have helped more than 11,000 visitors find their way around the city, raising their experience to a higher level, not to mention the economic benefits of guiding visitors to where they want to go.

 Centrestage Security News

The CCBA collates and sends out a weekly Centrestage Security newsletter. Again, emailed to our members, associate members and many other stakeholders.

This newsletter contains editorial supplied by our community constable Nigel Heslop and a day-to-day snapshot of what the ambassadors are dealing with.
