Cholmondeley Christmas Tram Every year hundreds of children aged three to 12 stay at Cholmondeley – a child-focused, quality care facility that supports children during short stays when families are experiencing difficulties. To make their lives a bit brighter at Christmas, Welcome Aboard (operator of the Christchurch Tramways) has offered their support to collect Christmas gifts for Cholmondeley children on their Christmas tram. The Tram will be out in the Square from 10am – 4pm, Monday, 6 December - Friday, 10 December. We would like to fill this tram with presents to ensure that this Christmas really is a merry one for the children of Cholmondeley! What we want from you! • We’d love Central City retailers to have some ideas ready for shoppers looking for Cholmondeley Christmas gifts. • We’ll be coming around Central City retailers with posters in the next couple of weeks, so if you can help us find a wee space in your windows to promote the Cholmondoley Christmas Tram, that would be really helpful. • It’s really helpful to put the intended age for any gift on the outside of the present – perhaps you could also help shoppers find age guidelines on the packaging. • The Welcome Aboard website (www.welcomeaboard.co.nz) has some gift ideas and you could direct shoppers to that website. • If you’re able to donate a gift yourself, that would be awesome!
