The restaurant has been under construction for eight months and is now open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. 

Cashel Thai is likely to become known as Casual Thai and is located at 79 Cashel Street at the Oxford Tce end next to The Tap Room.

The English speaking Thai staff will give the customers a genuine Thai experience. Vicki (pictured Right) who owns and runs Cashel Thai, has lived in Christchurch most of her life and previously ran one of the very first Thai restaurants in the city, The Bangkok Restaurant.

Cashel Thai will also do takeaways, is fully licensed and will allow BYO
