Coyote

The Coyote and the Kiwi

Ancient Maori legend tells of how the Kiwi was once a beautiful winged bird that soared in the tree tops. The kiwi sacrificed his wings, bright colours and a life of leisure so that through hard work he could protect the trees by eating insects on the forest floor.
In native American culture the Coyote is one of the progenitors of the beginning of time. He is the symbol for the trickster and merrymaker. His main purpose is to prevent the world from taking life to seriously. Coyote has many guises and sometimes he likes to dress up and go out on the town with his bag of tricks.
Just as the Coyote has lightened the hearts of many, for over a decade Coyote Street Bar and Restaurant has been a place where people can come to forget about sacrifices of every day life, indulge and relax in the company of friends. When you see someone at Coyote eating, drinking and being merry especially telling jokes look carefully because it may be the Coyote dressed up in one of his many disguises.
